Sasaki Celluloid Kogyojo is one of the few factories in Japan with a full production line for plastic eyewear. True to its store name, OPTIQ TAILOR is a groundbreaking store where you can not only find your perfect pair but also tour the plastic frame production line and try your hand at the craftsmen's polishing process. Various efforts are made here to turn choosing glasses into a special experience beyond just purchasing a product.

Feature 1: Factory Tours for General Customers

Sasaki Celluloid Kogyojo was founded over 100 years ago by Suekichi Sasaki, a first-generation apprentice of Gozaemon Masunaga, who brought eyeglass making to Sabae. Craftsmen who continue to preserve this historic technique still refine their skills daily. At OPTIQ TAILOR, you can take a factory tour to peek behind the scenes of this inherited craftsmanship.

*Those who purchase products or participate in the polishing experience can enjoy a factory tour (short version) for free.
